Work is officially underway on the long-awaited Garden City Beach streetscape improvements.

Jim spoke with WMBF News about the project, the temporary inconvenience during construction, and what these improvements will ultimately mean for Garden City Beach.

It’s exciting to see years of planning finally moving forward.

Phase one of the Garden City streetscape project began Tuesday, with road closures starting throughout the southern part of town.

But those may also be some of your most valuable rental weeks.

So when should you use your own beach rental instead of renting it?

It can be—and there are some advantages to buying this time of year that aren’t always obvious.

As the summer rental season winds down, properties can become easier to see, some owners begin making decisions about selling, and buyers have time to think about updates or renovations before the next rental season begins.

There are also things to consider, including carrying costs, rental income, financing, insurance and simply being ready when the right property comes along.
