It may be August, and we’re still sweating through summer, but after what happened last January, is it ever too early to start thinking about snow? 😂❄️

Last year’s winter storm taught us a valuable lesson: in the Carolinas, you don’t wait for the first snowflake to start preparing. You prepare when it’s 90 degrees outside and everyone is still complaining about the heat. 😂

January 2025 went from “There’s a chance of snow” to “WHY IS THERE NO BREAD, MILK, OR EGGS ANYWHERE?!” faster than you could find your snow shovel. 🥶🍞🥛

So, while everyone else is enjoying August, maybe it’s time to quietly check the flashlight batteries, locate the snow shovel, stock up on coffee and snacks, and—most importantly—remember where you put that sled.

Because if Mother Nature decides to surprise us again this winter, we’re going to be ready this time! 😆

And if you see me buying a case of bread in August… mind your business. I learned my lesson last winter. 😂❄️🍞

Look who stopped by to visit us! Our previous residents came back to Walkers Ridge after living here in our community six years ago!

This wonderful family moved back to the Dominican Republic, where they followed their dreams and opened a veterinary practice. 🐾🇩🇴

It’s always so special when former residents come back to visit. Seeing familiar faces and hearing about all the wonderful things they’ve accomplished since calling Walkers Ridge home truly warms our hearts!
