Another fun new addition to Gilbert! 🎉

Mark had the chance to help emcee today’s Gilbert Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting for Romp n’ Roll Gilbert—and this place is seriously cute.

Designed for little ones ages 3 months to 5 years, Romp n’ Roll is all about learning through play with gym, art and music classes, camps, birthday parties and plenty of room for little ones to move, explore and have fun.

Our roots in Gilbert run deep. We spent more than 20 years here, and even though we now call Encanterra home, Gilbert is still a big part of our lives and our business. Mark has stayed especially involved through his service on the Gilbert Chamber Board, so getting to welcome new businesses like this is always fun.

One Valley. Different markets.

That may be the biggest takeaway from our Fall 2026 market update.

Across Greater Phoenix, active inventory increased about 7% in September, while homes under contract and recent closings declined roughly 9%. But those Valley-wide numbers only tell part of the story.

Here in the East Valley, Mesa, Gilbert and Chandler are closer to balanced conditions, while Tempe, Queen Creek and San Tan Valley are giving buyers more leverage.

And even within those communities, the market can vary by neighborhood. That’s why understanding what’s happening locally matters more than simply following the Phoenix headlines.

For buyers, we’re seeing more choices and negotiating opportunities. For sellers, pricing, preparation and presentation matter.

Not a bad spot for a business meeting at all! 🤍

One of the best things about living in Encanterra is having Palma Kitchen + Tap right here in our community. It’s truly a great place for:

* Business meetings
* Catching up with clients and friends
* Just grabbing lunch

Today, I enjoyed one of my favorites—the grilled steak rice bowl with a fried egg on top. The new Mediterranean chicken plate also looked delicious!

I love being able to share a little piece of where we live with the people we work with.

A new chapter is officially underway for this Gilbert home.

Why are we headed to Chicago this week? ✈️

We’re off to Chicago, but this trip isn’t just about getting away for a few days.

On Wednesday, Mark will be at the National Association of REALTORS® headquarters for advanced mediator training—continuing work he’s been doing behind the scenes in our industry for years.

Through his service with our local REALTOR® association’s Professional Standards Committee, Mark has served on and chaired ethics and arbitration hearings and trained as a mediator to help resolve disputes.

It’s work most of our clients will never see.

But the experience that comes from it? That shows up in every transaction.

Understanding contracts. Recognizing problems before they escalate. Navigating difficult negotiations. Staying calm when things get complicated. And knowing when to push—and when finding common ground better protects the client.

Mark wrote about why he continues to volunteer his time doing this work and, more importantly, how it helps the people we represent.
