I keep hearing it… “The real estate market is bad right now.”
But is it really? 🤔
Here’s my take: the market is rarely “bad” for everyone, sometimes it simply favors one side more than the other. ⚖️
For the last several years, sellers had the upper hand. Homes were flying off the market, buyers were competing against multiple offers, contingencies were being waived, and there wasn’t much time for buyers to think before making a decision.
Right now? The pendulum has swung. 🏡
BUYERS — this market is giving you opportunities we haven’t seen in a while. You have more negotiating power. We’re seeing sellers contribute toward closing costs. You can actually take a minute to breathe, think about a house, do your inspections and negotiate instead of feeling like you have to throw everything you’ve got at a home within 24 hours.
In my opinion, that sounds like a pretty good time to buy. 👀
So buyers… the ball is in your court. Are you ready to make a move? 🔑
And SELLERS — this doesn’t mean you can’t successfully sell your home. It just means the days of putting a sign in the yard, snapping a few pictures and waiting for the offers to roll in are behind us.

You need an agent with an actual marketing plan. Someone willing to put in the work, properly market your home, get it in front of buyers, host open houses, utilize social media and help you position it correctly from day one.
The market isn’t necessarily “bad.”
