The math on college doesn’t make sense anymore.

We tell kids it’s the only path… then send them off for $50K+ a year to “figure it out” — with a side of debt and very little real-world experience.

At this point, I’m pushing back on the whole system.

College feels less like an investment and more like a very expensive life experience — one that should be done as strategically and cheaply as possible.

Why isn’t this the louder conversation?

• Community college → transfer
• In-state tuition hacks
• Gap years with purpose
• Trade paths + business ownership
• Leveraging scholarships like a game, not a hope
• Reverse engineering savings now (529s, etc.)

Here’s the reality — there are ways to work the system to your advantage… most families just don’t know them.

So I’m curious…

**REAL TALK: Fish shoes! **
🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠

After weeks of winter boots (you know what hapoened with my new green ones!) and house hunting with these amazing first-time buyers, I FINALLY remembered to bring my famous fish shoes to a showing. And wouldn't you know it - that was THE night we found their perfect home!

Julia and Max (who closed on the most perfect first home! 🎉) told me they knew those fish shoes were a sign. And they were right!

This life isn't always so serious ya know. It's about relationships we build, having fun, and yes - wearing ridiculous shoes in the Maine snow. Because at the end of the day, it's about the people and the memories we make along the way.
