🏡 REAL ESTATE 101: Did the home pass inspection?

A general home inspection is not pass or fail.

The inspector looks at different parts of the home, including the foundation, roof, electrical system, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and more.

The report may mark something as “deficient,” but that does not automatically mean it is a major problem. A missing outlet cover and a serious electrical concern can both be marked deficient. One is a simple fix, while the other may require more attention.

Inspectors identify concerns they can see, but they cannot guess what caused a problem or fully diagnose every issue. If something concerning is found, the buyer should have the appropriate specialist take a closer look.

The important questions are:

🏠 What did the inspector find?
🏠 How serious could it be?
🏠 Do we need a specialist to evaluate it?
