Part-Time Building Caretaker & Maintenance Coordinator

We’re looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to help care for the Garden Building in downtown Grand Blanc. This is a hands-on role with independent work, flexible hours, and a friendly, family-oriented environment.
Whether you’re looking to scale back from full-time work, stay active, or find a rewarding part-time position where your skills are appreciated, this could be a great fit. 🛠️
💵 $22–$30 per hour, depending on experience
🗓️ Average of 15–20 hours per week
⏰ Flexible scheduling

🔍 WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll be our reliable person on site—keeping an eye on the building, noticing what needs attention, and helping things run smoothly.
🔧 Handle minor repairs and routine upkeep.
⚙️ Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and learn how the building’s systems work.
📋 Follow through on maintenance needs.
🤝 Coordinate with established vendor partners for specialized repairs and service.
📱 Respond reliably to calls and texts about building needs.
🚗 Run occasional light errands and pick up supplies.
No commercial building experience? That’s okay!
Every major building system has an accountable vendor partner. You’ll have knowledgeable support as you learn the building and its equipment. Practical skills, curiosity, sound judgment, and follow-through are what we’re looking for. 👍
✅ YOU COULD BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU…
• Enjoy fixing, repairing, and maintaining things.
• Are mechanically inclined and willing to learn.
• Work well independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.
• Notice small issues before they become bigger problems.
• Can respond reliably to calls and texts; basic email capability is a plus.
• Can lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Live within a 20-minute drive of downtown Grand Blanc.
Access to a personal vehicle for occasional work errands is helpful, with reimbursement for work-related use. 🚙
