“Dirty Neutrals” Are Trending

Designers are moving away from stark whites and cool grays and leaning into warmer, earthier neutrals—mushroom, greige, sandy beige and natural wood tones.

Often called “dirty neutrals,” these layered tones bring warmth and depth while still feeling timeless and sophisticated. Paired with natural woods, matte stone and brushed metals, they create spaces that feel current without being overly trendy.

We’ve been embracing this look in our own projects. One of our go-to cabinet colors is Sherwin-Williams Accessible Beige, paired with White Dove (BM) on the walls for a soft, warm white. They work beautifully together.

And don’t worry about mixing paint brands. If you prefer to stick with one, your paint store can color-match the other brand’s shade.
