More than half the room raised their hands.

This morning I had the opportunity to speak at the F.C. Tucker Company Fishers/Geist office about a cause that means so much to me, my family, and millions of Americans. When I'm not helping clients buy and sell homes, I volunteer with the Indianapolis Walk to End Alzheimer's Marketing Committee and serve as a team captain for our F.C. Tucker team.

During my presentation, I asked the group of about 40+ people to raise their hands if Alzheimer's had personally affected them or someone they love. I was stunned when about 80% of the room raised their hands. That's a powerful reminder that almost all of us know someone whose life has been touched by this disease.

Sharing my family's story is never easy, but these conversations matter. The more we talk about Alzheimer's, the more awareness we can bring to this disease and the families it impacts every day. After my presentation, I had the privilege of speaking with several agents who shared their own personal experiences. Those conversations reminded me why this work is so important.

This year, my team has a fundraising goal of $5,000 before the Walk to End Alzheimer's on October 3. Our team is open to everyone, and I'd love to have you join us. Whether you walk with us, donate, or simply help spread awareness, every act of support brings us one step closer to a world without Alzheimer's.
