I recently toured this beautifully renovated Colonial in North Rosedale Park, and I can definitely see why someone would fall in love with it.

Built in 1936, this home has 1,880 sq. ft., 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and is listed at $264,900.

But my favorite part might actually be the flex space @ @ @ @ off the dining room. It opens directly to the backyard and has its own full bathroom, so there are a LOT of ways you could make that space work for you.

And this is exactly why I love touring homes, I get to see the possibilities beyond what’s written in the listing.

Detroit Tenants Union are reportedly threatening to SUE Detroit’s Landlord Tenant Court for allowing landlords to pursue evictions despite properties not passing required safety inspections.

The union & its attorneys supposedly issued the 36th District Court a demand letter last week with a deadline for June 18th to update its policy or face a lawsuit.

D.T.U. is arguing that, “Detroit landlords need a certificate of compliance to legally operate a rental. Without one, advocates say, landlords cannot lawfully collect rent or file evictions.”

According to Outlier Media, “just 14% of Detroit rentals are compliant with the city’s ordinance—meaning a win for the tenant group would affect thousands of cases every year.” [ via: outliermedia.org ]
