Let’s break this down: A massive housing bill is about to become law at midnight tonight…with or without Trump’s signature. 🚨👇🏾

While the political drama unfolds, everyday homebuyers are facing the highest prices in American history. Here is exactly what is happening and what’s in the bill:

1. The Standoff 🏛️

President Trump announced he won't sign the bipartisan "21st Century ROAD to Housing Act." But here's the catch—he didn't veto it either. He’s holding out to protest a completely separate voter ID bill stalled in the Senate.

2. The Midnight Deadline ⏰

Under the Constitution, if a president doesn't sign or veto a bill within 10 days, it automatically becomes law anyway. That clock runs out TONIGHT at midnight. Unless a last-minute veto drops, it takes effect tomorrow, Saturday, July 11.

3. What’s actually in the bill? 🏡

It tackles the housing crisis using two major levers:
"Homes Are For People, Not Corporations" – It completely blocks mega-investors (who already own 350+ single-family homes) from buying up any more neighborhood houses. 🚫🏢
