Excited for our first time home buyer who is Under Agreement on this beautiful South End brownstone condo 😍

This buyer had rented with me a few years back and was ready to make an investment and become a homeowner!

It's a great time for home buyers in Boston, where inventory is up and there is now less competition than in the 'burbs (total opposite market than my previous 8 years of working in Boston!)

Although my buyer is WFH right now, she will have room for a home office and when offices open back up she will be able to walk to work!

While Covid hasn't been the best time to be in the city, now is the time to think ahead!

Now, we move towards closing day! 🗝️

Today's 30 year fixed rate mortgage remains unchanged at 2.65%.

One year ago, January 2020, the average 30 year fixed rate was already incredibly low at 3.7%, but still a whole point higher than today's rate!

Low rates are great for homebuyers! It's less expensive to borrow money💰. But it's also driving demand up ⬆️ while supply of homes for sale remains record low ⬇️.

There are only 3,133 single family homes active on the market today in the state according to MLSPIN 😮

The market is predicted to continue in a similar fashion for 2021, but more homes for sale are expected to come on the market, fueled by homebuyers upsizing and moving further from the city ✔️
