Leadership is not only about the events we host. It is also about showing up, staying engaged, and supporting the organizations and initiatives that strengthen our industry and our community.

This week, the REALTORS® of the NAHREP Houston Board of Directors attended HAR TREPAC’s A Night at Tony’s, and it was a great reminder of how much our work connects.

At NAHREP, we advocate for sustainable Hispanic homeownership, wealth building, and greater representation in our industry. Through TREPAC, we also have the opportunity to invest in the issues and conversations that impact homeowners, real estate professionals, and the communities we serve.

We are proud to have leaders within our chapter who understand that collaboration matters, advocacy matters, and showing up matters.

Meet our final featured panelist for Business con Cultura: Phillip Yates, attorney, entrepreneur, and founder of Equiliberty! 🙌🏼

Phillip has built a career at the intersection of law, entrepreneurship, access to capital, and community impact. Before becoming an attorney, he helped launch a business incubator through the Houston Area Urban League Entrepreneurship Center that has supported more than 15,000 entrepreneurs.

Through Equiliberty, BEW HTX 2026 🏦 , LEW HTX 26’ 🏦 , and his leadership with Impact Hub Houston , Phillip has worked to create stronger pathways for minority owned businesses and entrepreneurs from undercapitalized communities.

His impact was recognized at the 2024 Houston Innovation Awards, where he was named Ecosystem Builder of the Year.
