Who says spooky season has to wait until fall? Fire up the Monterey grills and celebrate Summerween with a frightfully delicious hamburger that's packed with flavor and perfect for warm-weather gatherings. This burger is sure to be a scream-worthy hit!
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
Salt & pepper
4 burger buns
4 slices cheddar cheese
Lettuce
Tomato slices
Ketchup
1 small green bell pepper or pickle stem piece
Instructions
1. Make the Burgers
Form the beef into 4 thick patties.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cook on a grill or skillet for about 4–5 minutes per side.
2. Create the “Pumpkin Cheese”
Cut zig-zag edges into cheddar slices to look like pumpkin teeth.
Melt the cheese over the burgers during the last minute of cooking.
3. Make the Pumpkin Bun
Use the top bun as the pumpkin face.
Carefully cut little triangle eyes and a tiny nose with a knife.
Place a small piece of green pepper or pickle on top like a pumpkin stem.
4. Assemble
Bottom bun → lettuce → tomato → burger → ketchup → pumpkin top bun.
