The group learned more about Southern Indiana’s workforce, economy, and regional growth as part of a day focused on exploring the people, industries, and opportunities shaping our region!

🚧 International Drive repaving has started!

Repaving is underway on International Drive, beginning at the intersections with Paul Garrett Avenue and Corporate Drive.

Drivers should expect some lanes to shift during the project, but two-way traffic is expected to remain open at all times. The paving work is expected to be completed in about one week, weather permitting.

Once paving and restriping are complete, there will be a slightly different traffic pattern on International Drive, including center turn lanes that will not continue throughout the entire road.

Please use caution and allow a little extra time when traveling on International Drive while work is underway.

Yesterday, Duke Energy President and CEO Harry Sideris along with members of the Duke Energy team joined us at River Ridge for an important discussion about the growth of the Commerce Center and the entire Southern Indiana region. The conversation centered around important infrastructure improvements occurring within River Ridge that will continue to have a positive impact on the businesses that operate here and the surrounding community.

For the past five years, Robin Kirchoff, RRDA’s Marketing/Projects Coordinator has volunteered with Prosser Career Education Center’s mock interview day, helping students prepare for the next step in their careers.

Robin shared: “It is incredibly rewarding to see the confidence and professionalism the students develop and to play a small part in helping them prepare for their future careers.”

We’re grateful for Robin’s continued commitment to supporting local students and for opportunities like this to help young people build the skills and confidence they need to succeed beyond the classroom.

River Ridge Commerce Center leadership attended the Japan-Midwest U.S. Association’s 56th Annual Joint Meeting in Indianapolis.

Executive Director Marc Hildenbrand, Chief Director of Corporate Strategy and External Affairs Wendy Dant Chesser, and Senior Director of Business Development and Real Estate Josh Staten joined Indiana leaders and business representatives to strengthen connections between Indiana and Japan and explore opportunities for continued collaboration.

Indiana is home to more than 300 Japanese company facilities, with major investments from companies such as Toyota, Honda, Subaru and Hitachi. That partnership is also represented here at River Ridge, where five Japanese companies are currently located: American Fuji Seal, ATTC Manufacturing, DA, Inc., DENSO and Idemitsu.

As one of the states with a significant concentration of Japanese investment, Indiana has built a strong relationship with Japan that continues to create opportunities for businesses, workers and communities across the state.

We look forward to building on these partnerships and welcoming continued investment and collaboration in Indiana and at River Ridge Commerce Center.
