In Texas, 1-d-1 refers to a special property tax valuation for land used for agriculture, including qualifying wildlife management. This can significantly reduce property taxes.
Landowners generally must actively perform at least 3 of these 7 activities:
- Habitat management
- Erosion control
- Predator management
- Supplemental water
- Supplemental food
- Providing wildlife shelter
- Wildlife population surveys
