Coming up farm tour…

It’s birthday week here, 77 trips around the sun for me today and the peonies have exploded to help me celebrate 💐

Because everything is blooming all of a sudden, we are scheduling our first FARM TOUR this next Thursday, April 23, 6-8 pm.

We’ll have a bouquet started for you and there will be plenty of bridal veil spirea for you to cut and add to the mix. After we talk Flowers and Farm and show off our new garden structures, we’ll pop in the hoop house where sweet peas, poppies, snapdragons, foxglove, bells of Ireland, campanula and more are all begin to show off at once!

Then onto aunt willies’s where we’ll see various stages of peonies and learn when and how to cut them. Bring your questions and will try to answer them.

Because of you, children entering foster care will be welcomed with comfort, essentials, and a safe place during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

I love lavender.

In Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee...the Lavender Festival at Flat Top Mountain Farm is lined up to be one of the spring's most beautiful and memorable experiences! Set just outside Chattanooga, this annual event takes place on a family farm that’s been around for over 200 years. During the lavender fest, long rows of purple lavender fill the fields, and on “U-pick Days,” visitors can walk through and cut their own bundles. Bees and butterflies move from bloom to bloom, with wide mountain views stretching out in the distance. Planned 2026 dates are Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, though they depend on bloom timing and weather. While you’re there, you can take photos with Highland cows and baby donkeys, browse a small shop filled with lavender items, relax at picnic spots, and sometimes catch live music. There’s no need to buy tickets ahead of time, so you can simply show up and enjoy a slow, peaceful day surrounded by flowers.
