Today is one of those bittersweet moments... and realistically, challenging to combine a 🎉"Just Sold"🎉 post with a 😢"we are going to miss these great people"😢 post... so please bear with me as I try to navigate the challenge.

While we are incredibly excited to share that great friends of ours closed on the sale of their home today with incredible terms (reducing the stress of the transaction and move out) it's also a sad day for those they are leaving behind in NC as they move to a new part of the country.

This deal was much much more than just about real estate.

Robbie, Holly and their children have become good friends. Over the past few years, our boys have spent countless hours at their house, making memories in what has to be one of the best backyards around. Enjoying late nights playing basketball with their children, and probably disturbing the neighbors beyond reasonable hours 😅

Living in the same neighborhood, coaching our boys in baseball together, winning 4 state championships for LKN together, and watching from the stands each year as they competed together in the Homeschool World Series. (And also getting furious together at umpires, and cheering together every time the boys won a game together.)

We will definitely miss having them just down the street, but we are excited that their next chapter at least is in Nashville. (Because that's where my parents and sister live; so we already know there will be plenty of future visits and the ability to stay connected.)

We know God has great plans for the Johnston's in their new home - Nashville is getting a great family!!!!
