Real estate is similar to the stock market. Home prices are largely based on demand. When there is demand, prices go up. When demand is low, prices go down. Other factors are location, quality of build, and size. There are others factors, but for brevity, I've included some top ones. It looks like prices are dropping due to lack of demand. This is probably because people are worried about a recession, high interest rates, and inflation.

A super buyers market is coming. For the buyers that have funds saved up, they will greatly benefit. For the sellers that are trying to sell their inflated priced home, there will be some upset. If you need to sell your home, don't waste time. Sell it at a competitive price, not what you think it's worth. Home prices are dropping quickly, so quickly act to make sure you don't miss out on benefiting from some equity in your home.
