What’s it actually like living in Lakewood? You develop some opinions you’ll defend forever 😂

I said Red Rocks isn’t “a Denver thing,” it’s a Lakewood/Westside thing, and I stand by it.
For starters, you can decide at 5pm you want a concert and still make it—because you’re basically right there (and the views never get old).

And then there’s Bear Creek Lake Park: sunrise walks, quick bike rides, and those “how is this my regular Tuesday?” moments.

So yes, I’m officially dying on this hill.

Watching two young people take such a big step toward their future is something that never gets old. Buying your first home is about so much more than having a place to call your own. THE 2 THINGS THAT CAN REALLY PAY OFF WHEN SELLING YOUR HOME: PAINT + CARPET.

A lot of sellers assume they need to remodel the kitchen or update the bathrooms before putting their home on the market.

And while those upgrades can absolutely add value, you may not get back everything you spend, especially if you’re doing them right before you sell.

Fresh paint and new carpet are different.

If the walls are dingy, scuffed or dated and the carpet is worn or stained, buyers notice it immediately. Freshening those up can make the entire home feel cleaner, brighter and better cared for.

And that feeling matters.

Sometimes spending a few thousand dollars on the simple things can have a much bigger impact than taking on a major renovation right before you sell.
