🏡 Good news for homebuyers! The agencies that back most home loans (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) are now accepting a new type of credit score called VantageScore 4.0, alongside the traditional FICO score you’ve probably heard of.

What does this mean? It could help more people qualify for a mortgage by looking at things like your rent and utility payments — not just your credit card and loan history.

For mortgage companies, this gives more ways to assess a borrower’s creditworthiness, but FICO scores will still be the most commonly used for now.

Bottom line: This change aims to open doors for more people to buy a home! 🏠✨
