Don’t fall victim to fraudsters! Great reminder given all the scams going on recently!
🚩 If you receive a message pressuring you to act immediately, take that as your cue to slow down.
Cyber criminals know that urgency can cloud good judgment. Whether it's a fake email, text message, suspicious link, or fraudulent wire request, their goal is the same: to get you to act before you have time to think.
Common red flags include:
⚠️ "Act now."
⚠️ "Final notice."
⚠️ "Wire funds immediately."
⚠️ "Urgent" or "Immediate action required."
⚠️ "Your closing will be delayed or canceled."
⚠️ Any unexpected links or attachments asking you to "click here."
These messages are designed to make you react before you have a chance to verify.
Whether you're buying, selling, or refinancing, never let anyone rush you into clicking a link, sending money, or sharing sensitive information.
✔️ Pause before you click.
✔️ Verify using a trusted phone number.
✔️ Ask questions if something seems different.
✔️ When in doubt, contact your title company directly.
Protecting your transaction is just as important to us as closing it. If you ever have a question about an email, link, or wiring instructions change, we're only a phone call away.
🔐 When it comes to your money and personal information, it's always better to verify than to hurry.
