Location: Washington Terrace, between Ogden Regional and Hill AFB

🇺🇸 Northern Utah is finally getting its own Veterans Cemetery. 🇺🇸

On June 2nd, Washington Terrace City Council unanimously approved a rezone this week for a 102-acre Veterans Cemetery — the first in Weber, Davis, or Box Elder County.

Until now, the only state veterans cemetery in Utah has been all the way down in Bluffdale.

Here's what veterans and families should know:
🔔 Veterans receive a free plot and headstone
👨‍👩‍👧 Eligible spouses and dependent children can also be interred
🎖️ Designed as a place for the community to gather on Memorial Day and Veterans Day

🏗️ Construction expected to begin January 2027 with estimated completion in January 2028.

💰 90% federally funded — the land was donated by a private landowner.

The cemetery is expected to serve around 300 families per year.

An estimated 40,000 veterans live in Davis County and the counties north — this one's for them.

After an extensive search, I am so excited to share that my Buyers are Under Contract on their first home!

After weeks of virtual showings and open houses, they started losing hope that they would find something that checked their (very reasonable) bucket list. The competition was picking up in the 3 bed/1-2 bath category!

Needless to say, we found it! A home that checks all of their boxes and more. Now comes the inspection and VA appraisal phase. I am showing up for all of it, guiding my clients and keeping them well informed while they're stationed in Germany.

Memorial Day is around the corner, and as we all prepare for the weekend, whether it is spending time with family, working or just relaxing. Remember to take a moment to think about those who have paid the sacrifice and their families. Be respectful and find another way to say “Happy Memorial Day”, because for families who have lost a loved one to military service, this weekend they are not celebrating, instead tears and memories are coming to surface.

As you prepare for your PCS, consider doing a little prep to your home.

In the kitchen I plastic wrap our knife block and the silverware tray.

Why?

1- Knife block - it keeps the knives in the block. That means knives are not falling out and trying to stab me in the toe as we unwrap it from the paper.

2- It keeps everything together and clean! No more fishing spoons out of the bottom of the box. This means it’s instant drawer organizing too!

Many other things in the kitchen will go into plastic bags like the straws, medicine cups, and serving/cooking utensils.

The name of our game is prep, keeping things clean, and having an easy unpack!
