Last week, we welcomed the Visit LEX team to The Commons.

We walked the entertainment district together, shared lunch from DaRae & Friends Catering stopped in at RD1 Spirits, checked progress at The Rail and OBC Kitchen, and toured the finished short-term stay suites at The Station.

Visit Lex has spent years building Lexington into a place people travel to. We’re proud to be adding to that, giving residents more to do and giving the city more reasons to bring visitors in.

More coming to this side of town! Glad to be building it alongside our tenants and partners who know what this city can be!

The Commons entertainment district is taking shape.

"The Yard," our central green space, is wrapping up this month and will become the first public gathering space within the district.

Surrounding it, new restaurants, hospitality concepts, retail spaces, and The Rail are continuing to take shape.

OBC Kitchen is excited to share our relocation to The Commons development in Lexington this Fall! We’ve outgrown our current space and are looking forward to giving OBC a home that matches the experience and atmosphere we strive to create for our guests. Follow along for construction and opening updates!

Introducing 1380 N Forbes at The Commons!

Centrally located along the entertainment district across from The Station, The Yard, and The Rail—and directly along the nature trail that runs through the site.

The building features retail on the first floor with short-term rental units above, creating consistent activity throughout the day.

We’re leasing a handful of small retail spaces, each around 500 SF, with the option to combine. A strong fit for boutique retail or service concepts that benefit from steady, built-in foot traffic.

"The Yard" is taking shape!

Opening mid-summer, this half-acre greenspace sits between The Station and The Rail and becomes the first publicly activated piece of The Commons.

It gives the district a full summer runway before The Rail opens in Fall 2026, building momentum early and turning the site into an active destination.

Live music, watch parties, outdoor dining, and community events are layered into one space that connects the entire district.

This isn’t just green space. It’s the connective tissue that turns separate buildings into a real place people move through, gather in, and come back to.
