What they don’t often see are the talented people who help families make hundreds of important decisions along the way.

I’m excited to share Episode 2 of Built by People, where we step inside the Drees Design Center and introduce you to the amazing women who help turn inspiration into reality.

Filming this episode gave me an even greater appreciation for everything that happens before a family ever receives their keys.

A milestone day for Lariat. 💜✂️📚

Today I had the privilege of attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the brand-new Lariat Trails Elementary School—a moment our community has been eagerly anticipating.

Walking through the halls, seeing the classrooms, library, and playground come to life, it was impossible not to imagine the memories that will be made here. First-day jitters. New friendships. Inspiring teachers. School plays. Science fairs. Countless moments that will shape the next generation.

As someone who helps families find a place to call home in Lariat, days like today are especially meaningful. A neighborhood isn’t just about beautiful homes—it’s about creating a place where families can truly put down roots and children can thrive.

Congratulations to the incredible teachers, staff, Liberty Hill ISD, and everyone whose hard work made this vision a reality. Thank you for investing in the future of our community.

Today, we celebrated another homeowner at Drees Custom Homes in Lariat, Liberty Hill, Texas with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

One of my favorite traditions is celebrating the moment a house officially becomes someone’s home.

Most builders hand over the keys.

I want to create a memory.

A ribbon cutting may seem like a small gesture, but it’s a reminder that this day is about so much more than closing documents and signatures. It’s the moment a dream becomes reality.

People rarely remember the paperwork, but they always remember how they felt the first time they walked through the front door of their new home.

That’s why I love what I do.

It’s never just about building a house. It’s about helping someone begin a new chapter, creating a place where traditions will start, memories will be made, and family and friends will gather for years to come.
