URGENT PROPERTY SEARCHING VIA ZILLOW AND TRULIA. Important update for buyers and sellers:
As of today, Zillow and Trulia are no longer displaying MRED (northern Illinois MLS) listings after Zillow refused to comply with MRED’s longstanding data licensing agreements. This means many local listings may temporarily not appear on Zillow’s platforms.
This is not due to anything sellers or agents have done wrong. In fact, Zillow chose to stop displaying over 43,000 MRED listings over a dispute involving just nine listings and certain marketing practices.
The good news: listings are still being widely shared across thousands of other real estate websites and platforms, and buyers still have full access through REALTORS® and the MLS.

I REALLY try to stay away from politics when posting but this HITS almost EVERY ONE OF US - Raising transfer taxes in the burbs to mainly support Chicago poor fiscal policies is NOT right, fair or reasonable - if you care - contact your representive ASAP:

In the final few hours of voting in Springfield, the Illinois Senate passed a 600% Property Transfer Tax Increase that targets ONLY THE SUBURBS. The intended recipient of these new taxes? Mayor Brandon Johnson’s Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). We still have a chance to stop this boondoggle.

We MUST send a decisive message to Illinois legislators: “Do not raise suburban property taxes to bailout the CTA.”

The Property Transfer Tax only hits Chicago’s Suburbs.
Most of the funding is earmarked for the Chicago Transit Authority.
The Property Transfer Tax would have increased suburban housing costs by $143.7 Million in 2024!
When housing costs have skyrocketed and the American Dream of Homeownership is out of reach for too many, we must tell Illinois legislators: "Do not raise suburban property taxes to bailout the CTA.”
