Do you know / remember Edgar’s (FLW’s) “Fallingwater” in Pennsylvania? Seems his Palm Springs home is also notable ❤️
In the mid-1940s, Edgar J. Kaufmann, the owner of Kaufmann's Department Store in Pittsburgh, built this Southern California home as a desert retreat from harsh Northeastern winters. It was designed by architect Richard Neutra and became so famous that it helped define the Modernist aesthetic of the resort city of Palm Springs, California. (Photo: Julius Shulman, circa 1947; ©J.
