Got to go and meet with the Mayor of Long Beach and other affiliates in the city to discuss homelessness issues we are facing.

We talked about home pricing, treatment programs, newer and bigger facilities being built for women and children. Talked about keeping people housed and off the streets. Safer places to park and be away from the residents.

We talked with the Police Department Commander on what they are doing to help. Also spoke with the Ping Beacb Rescue Mission about how we could volunteer to make change in the city!

Great turn up and can’t wait to see how we make Long Beach a better place for all.

According to , State Farm, one of the largest insurance companies in the U.S. will no longer be accepting home and business insurance applications in California. The company announced this move in a press release just this week.

The company will continue to cover vehicles in California but see the risk of covering homes and buildings as far too great. State Farm says,
"historic increases in construction costs outpacing inflation, rapidly growing catastrophe exposure, and a challenging reinsurance market," are factors that led to this decision.

The insurance giant also says, "it's necessary to take these actions now to improve the company's financial strength.-- We will continue to evaluate our approach based on changing market conditions.

California has faced decades of drought and climate change that have triggered many wildfires.
