This Thursday, The Hub is getting into the Halloween spirit with a special edition of Trivia Night. Gather your team for an evening of spooky questions, laughs and a chance to claim the top spot!

Costumes are encouraged, too! Show off your Halloween look for a chance to take home a prize.

Meet us at The Hub at Kinston on Thursday, October 22, from 6-8 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

A few miles, lakeside views and a crew that makes showing up the easy part. Centerra Run Club, hosted by Sweetheart City Racing, is your Wednesday excuse to get outside, explore the trails and enjoy a little movement with your neighbors.

Meet the club every Wednesday at Old Canal Park, 2725 Rocky Mountain Ave., at 5:15 pm for a warm-up before heading out at 5:30 pm.

The annual costume contest includes a category just for family pets, with prizes for the Spookiest, Cutest and Most Creative looks.

Register your costumed companion for free at the Centerra Booth before 2:45 PM, then join us at the main stage from 3–4 PM to see who takes home the prizes.

There’s still time to get your hands in the garden this September 🍂

Join the High Plains Environmental Center Garden Club on September 26 for a morning of planting, pruning, weeding, mulching and whatever else the native plant gardens need that day.

No gardening experience is required. Teens and adults are welcome, and children can participate with a parent or guardian. Bring a water bottle, closed-toed shoes and layers for the morning.
