I never thought I would become the face of stroke awareness, but it happened to me.

In 2024, I had a stroke at 49. Because it only affected my face, I thought it was Bell’s palsy and didn’t get treatment right away.

Then, on August 2, I had another stroke. Thankfully, my husband recognized what was happening and got me treatment quickly.

I’m sharing my story in hopes that it helps someone recognize the signs and get help faster.

Remember BE FAST:

B – Balance changes
E – Eyes: Vision changes
F – Face drooping
A – Arm weakness
S – Speech difficulty
T – Time to call 911

If you notice these symptoms, call 911 immediately. Don’t drive yourself.
