A quick detour to the neighborhood I lived in the Silverton section of Toms River, NJ. I met a friend at for chai lattes and crumb buns and couldn’t resist taking a drive down memory lane afterwards. Back in 1999-2000, I rented a cute three bedroom home for $800 a month. At the time I was commuting to East Brunswick and then Newark when I worked as a newspaper photo editor. I’ve been back to the area numerous times as a Realtor but today I just parked and savored a few memories of living there with my chihuahuas, Quentin and Maggie, the colors I had painted the walls and watching fireworks by myself on that little beach at the end of the lane.
