🌳 Storm Cleanup Update for Manhattan Residents 🌳

The City of Manhattan begins the next phase of storm cleanup today, Monday, June 15. City crews have been working hard all week clearing roadways and public spaces, and debris collection efforts are expected to continue for at least the next two weeks.

Residents may place the following storm debris at the curb:
✅ Limbs
✅ Branches
✅ Other yard waste

The following items will NOT be collected:
❌ Trash
❌ Shingles
❌ Boards
❌ Fencing
❌ Other non-yard-waste materials

Please keep yard waste separate from other debris, as collected materials will be taken to a burn site.

🚛 Debris Pickup Information
There will be no set pickup schedule during the first week. Crews will work throughout the community collecting debris as efficiently as possible. The City expects to provide a more detailed collection schedule after assessing the remaining workload.

🤝 Need Assistance?
Residents age 55 and older who need help with yard cleanup can contact the Flint Hills Volunteer Center at (785) 776-7787. Volunteers can assist with gathering and piling debris but cannot perform hazardous work such as tree cutting or climbing.

We appreciate the efforts of City crews and volunteers as our community continues recovering from the recent storms!
