Soup, Sweets, and Community Spirit! 🍲

The Great Room at Applewood Pointe of Maple Grove was bustling today as our Sip n Chat women’s group hosted a soup luncheon and fundraiser!

Coop members enjoyed a delicious selection of about a dozen homemade soups, accompanied by freshly baked bread from Marlys, our resident baker. Handmade crafts and an assortment of homemade goodies—including jams, honey, pickles, and baked goods—were also available for purchase.

The Sip n Chat group is raising funds to donate a bench to the City of Maple Grove for placement in neighboring Central Park—a wonderful way to give something back to the community we call home.

A big thank-you to the Sip n Chat women, everyone who contributed food and handmade items, and all who came out to support this special effort!

Good food, good neighbors, and a great cause!

A few photos from our annual AppleFest Open House last week! 🍎

We had a great turnout of visitors interested in touring our co-op and learning more about cooperative living. It was a fun day filled with good conversations, delicious treats, and lots of helping hands!

A big thank-you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped make the day such a success!

A little color to enjoy before the snow flies! 🌸

Our gardens and planters look beautiful thanks to the neighbors who volunteer as our Garden Tenders. They share their love of gardening with the whole co-op, and we appreciate the care they give these spaces all season long. Thank you, Garden Tenders! 🌿

A little polka and a lot of potato! 🪗🥔 Applewood members enjoyed a baked potato dinner tonight, with lively polka music provided by an accordion band featuring one of our own members, Edy. What a fun way to spend the evening together! The perfect antidote to a dreary rainy day. 🙂 ☔️

Perfect night for a late summer concert at Town Green just a few blocks away.

The young goslings and their parents were out enjoying the clover buffet in the park across the street today. It was such a sweet little reminder that we have some pretty charming neighbors this time of year. 🪿

Our weekly morning coffee at Applewood Pointe Maple Grove at Arbor felt extra special today. In honor of Syttende Mai, we enjoyed a table full of Norwegian treats—krumkake, lefse, and all the cozy goodness that comes with them. It was the perfect blend of community, conversation, and a little Scandinavian pride. Grateful for this place and the people who make mornings like this so lovely. 🇳🇴☕

Homemade pies and fun games made for enjoyable evening. We are lucky to have a resident who shares his baking skills
with all of us. Yum!

Great turnout for our coop’s throwback night!
Music from the 50s and 60s, bowls of candy and snacks, and a surprisingly challenging game of identifying members from their high school graduation photos.

Some people haven’t changed a bit… others took a little more imagination. Tables competed for a bottle of soda for the most correct guesses. A fun evening!
