When you need a ladder to get to the ladder! Not only was this attic ladder over 7’ high, but it was also really stiff and hard to open. Still managed to get up there and check out the attic though 💪🏻

It is still technically a tripping/safety hazard. And I may or may not have almost tripped on it myself, which is how I may or may not have initially noticed it 😅

Make sure you check above ceiling tiles, there could be hidden dangers!
Even though these spliced wires properly have wire caps, they are very improperly not stored in a junction box. This could be a potential safety hazard if for some reason one of those caps comes off one day. Imagine if that insulation comes in contact with open wires 😬 Insulation doesn’t catch fire, but it can melt and cause a fire that way! Not to mention all the fires that are commonly caused by open wires…

Did you know… that these water splash blocks are basically useless?? They are poor at diverting water and can fill up quickly during a downpour and overflow out of the sides. If the ground slopes towards your home, throw these away and replace with downspout extensions to help prevent water damage to your foundation!
