Did you know real estate isn’t the only thing I do? Somewhere along the way, I realized one of my favorite parts of this business happens before the sign goes in the yard, or sometimes before the house even exists.

I help design new construction homes. I work on commercial interiors. I stage homes to sell. And I absolutely love walking into a space and seeing what it could be.

For me, good design isn’t just about making something beautiful. It’s about creating a space that feels good to walk into. A home that feels comfortable. A business that feels like home. A room that makes people want to stay awhile.

And honestly, it all fits together.

So while real estate tells the stories of Southeastern Oklahoma, I help people find their place in them and sometimes, I get to help create that place, too.

This was one of those transactions that was just FUN from beginning to end. There’s something extra special about helping a first-time homebuyer, but this one meant even more because I had the privilege of helping the daughter of a friend purchase her very first home—right before she gets married!

Watching these two step into homeownership together was such a joy. Buying your first home can feel overwhelming—there are inspections, paperwork, deadlines, decisions, and about a million little details—but they handled it all so well. There’s just something special about watching 20 somethings work toward something big and then finally getting to hold that “Home Sweet Home” sign.

And the added bonus? I got to work alongside my sweet friend Martin De La Garza with Motto Mortgage as their lender! Martin absolutely worked his tail off to help get them qualified and get this one across the finish line. Having a lender who is willing to dig in, problem-solve, communicate, and genuinely care about the people behind the loan makes ALL the difference. This one was truly a team effort, and I couldn’t have been happier to have him on the other side of the transaction.

Congratulations to these two on their first home and their upcoming marriage!
