There was a point when I realized I didnât want to look out my window and straight into my neighborâs kitchen anymore.
I wanted space. I wanted my kids to grab their bikes and go outside. I wanted quiet. I wanted to come home at the end of the day and actually feel like we had gotten away from it all a little bit.
Thatâs a big part of why I chose living in Gunter, Texas for my own family.
But moving here wasnât instantly easy. We had to find our people. My kids had to find theirs. We had to get used to a smaller town and a different pace of life. And somewhere along the way, the place that felt new started feeling like home.
Now, the land, the quiet, the country feel and the close knit community are some of the things I wouldnât trade.
When families talk to me about moving to Gunter, Texas, especially when theyâre coming from Celina, Prosper, Van Alstyne or making a much bigger move to North Texas, I understand that theyâre not just looking at houses. Theyâre trying to picture what their familyâs actual life will feel like here.
And thatâs the conversation I want to have.
Iâm not here to convince you Gunter is right for you. Iâm here to help you figure out if it is.
