Hopping on the trend ..
Life of a realtor in the 80s
No Zillow.
No Instagram.
No Facebook.
No texting.
No Google Maps.
No DocuSign.
Just an MLS book, a Rolodex, a car phone and A LOT of driving around New Jersey.
And then there were the mortgage rates…
**15–18%+ 😳**
Imagine telling a buyer, “Good news, I found you a house for $150,000!”
Then telling them their interest rate is 18%!!!
And that $150K house probably had 3 bedrooms, a basement, a garage and a big yard.
Today, $150K might get you… a parking spot.
A lot has changed in 40 years. The technology, the prices, the way we market homes and how buyers search for them.
But the one thing that hasn't changed is that real estate is still a relationship business.
I'm pretty happy to be doing this in 2026… although that 1980s realtor look is pretty damn good.
