Not every visitor who walks through our doors is looking for information—sometimes they just need a helping hand.

Today, a lady stopped by with a flat tire and wasn’t sure what to do. We helped her get the spare tire out of her vehicle, and the wonderful owner of CowBurners BBQ & Taproom stepped in and changed the tire for her.

It’s moments like these that remind us what makes our community so special. Neighbors helping neighbors, even when they don’t know each other.

Memorial Day gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect. I was blessed last October to see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Standing before the memorial wall, the experience becomes especially profound when you spot the name of a lost relative etched among the fallen. In that moment, you cannot help but pause and truly appreciate the sacrifice made by those who died for our country.

As we spend quality time with family and friends, let’s also take a moment to remember those who made it all possible.

Here’s to gratitude, togetherness and a safe holiday!
