Office Assistant
Part time
Hours 9am-3pm M-F
This position involves property management activities, and additional personal assistance activities for the property owner.
The person who would best fit this position is friendly and has excellent communication and office skills. This person must be organized, reliable, and a self-starter who likes to stay busy and take initiative to get things done.
Duties
General office duties: filing, scheduling, company website, correspondence (phone, email, mail) and greeting visitors. Take messages and provide information to callers.
Rental property management activities: Showing rental homes, coordinating tenant applications, background checks, leases and rent payments. Includes interfacing with tenants, scheduling repairs and maintenance, and maintaining a log of rental management activities.
Required Skills
* Must have excellent English language skills (verbal and written). Attention to detail, grammar and spelling.
* Highly organized - completes tasks and works independently without supervision, communicates and problem solves.
* Excellent computer skills (MS Word and Excel) and internet savvy (google docs, dropbox, social media, etc), ideally familiar with both PC and Mac computers.
The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of account management, customer service and bookkeeping.
Qualifications
Minimum: High school diploma, 1-2 years related experience
Preferred: Associates Degree and above, 2-5 years related experience
Interest in history and architecture a plus, as the rental portfolio includes an historic property.
Must be willing to have a background check as part of the interview process.
You must have a valid drivers license, automobile insurance and reliable transportation.
