Meet two community-minded Nacogdoches favorites who know the value of connection, service, and showing up for the people around them.
By day, Jenay Harman is equal parts plant expert, realtor, entrepreneur, and outdoors enthusiast. A longtime Nacogdoches resident since the age of thirteen, Jenay earned her Horticulture degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and now helps others put down roots as a realtor with Rustic Pines Realty and co-owner of The Flour & Flower Co.. When she’s not juggling business ventures, you’ll likely find her outdoors tending a garden, working out, running, riding horses, raising animals, or soaking up time with family and friends. Jenay is the proud mom of Kaden, Haylee, and Gracie, and she’s excited to soon add daughter-in-law Anais to the family roster. A member of Grace Bible Church, Jenay loves how the Nacogdoches Senior Center creates a place where friendships flourish, laughter is shared, and everyone feels welcomed and valued.
Joining her is Colby Davis, a familiar face to many throughout Nacogdoches and Lufkin. As General Manager of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors along with Gipson Funeral Home, Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home, and Garden of Memories Memorial Park, Colby has spent more than a decade serving families with compassion and care. Outside of work, he and his wife Jamie stay entertained by their lively household of three dogs Roscoe, Jessica, and Bobby and two cats, Pippa and Leo. Colby enjoys CrossFit, music, church activities, card games, and making memories with friends and family. Through the years, he has helped strengthen the partnership between the funeral home and the Nacogdoches Senior Center, supporting senior expos, educational outreach, and even providing space for widows and widowers support groups when needed. To Colby, the Senior Center is more than a building it’s a place where people find fellowship, support, and a true sense of community.
