Architecture, history, and neighborhood character are a big part of what makes Naperville unique.
Naperville Preservation Inc. is hosting an upcoming event focused on Mid-Century Modern architecture and Naperville’s architectural history. The evening will feature Edward Keegan, architecture columnist for the Chicago Tribune, speaking on the growing appreciation and evolving understanding of Mid-Century Modern architecture throughout the Midwest.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase Don Tosi’s Naperville, a beautifully documented architectural survey of homes designed and built by influential Naperville builder Don Tosi.

At the event, you’ll hear “Middle Squared: Mid-Century Modern in the Midwest,” by Chicago Tribune Architecture columnist Edward Keegan. Ed will talk about how mid-century modern is having a moment. “American architecture in the decades following the Second World War has long been portrayed quite narrowly. But new studies are revealing the diversity of architectural work during these years. This talk will discuss how our knowledge of this period is evolving.”
