We’re back with Episode 8 of Move with Us 🏠

We found the house, but before we could officially call it home, there was one very important step: the home inspection.

Buying a home is a huge decision, and the inspection gave us a chance to take a closer look at what we were getting ourselves into. From the things we expected to the things we definitely didn’t, it was a reminder that every home has a story and a few surprises along the way.

Now we’re one step closer to making this house our home.

The biggest missed opportunity for many business owners is not using your calendar.

Your calendar isn’t just a place for meetings and appointments. It should reflect your priorities.

Put what matters to you on the calendar, then protect the time to actually do it.

Because if it’s not scheduled, it’s easy for everything else to take its place.

1. Keep your windows and doors closed 🚪
Even if it feels nice outside, smoky air can quickly make its way indoors.

2. Replace your HVAC filter 🏠
A clean filter does a much better job trapping smoke and fine particles than one that’s already clogged.

3. Run your HVAC fan continuously 🌬️
If your system allows it, set the fan to “On” instead of “Auto” to keep filtering the air throughout the day.

4. Skip the exhaust fans 🍳
Bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans can pull smoky outdoor air into your home if they’re running unnecessarily.

5. Seal obvious drafts 🪟
Check around windows, doors, and any gaps where outside air can sneak in.
