Tomorrow, I’m honored to sit down with Amy Connor OT, founder and Executive Director of Hesed Place, which is a local nonprofit here in New Bern. 💛

Amy has spent years walking alongside survivors of complex trauma, and through Hesed Place, she’s helping create something incredibly unique in our community — a place where people can find support, understanding, education, connection and hope as they navigate “The Whole Journey” of healing.

But here’s the part I really want you to hear…

Trauma affects our entire community. And understanding it can change the way we love, lead, parent, serve and care for one another.

We’re going to talk about what trauma actually is, why some wounds aren’t visible, what it means to be trauma-informed, and how all of us can become part of creating a community where people don’t have to walk through their hardest seasons alone.

Also - this is for absolutely everyone! Not just those who have been through complex trauma in their lives.

And I have a feeling we’re going to have some moments that make us stop and think. ❤️
