The housing market hasn’t “crashed” — it’s correcting itself back to normal.

A lot of people got used to the extremely low interest rates of 2021-2022, but the truth is… those rates were never normal long-term rates. They were historic lows that created a frenzy in the market. Buyers were competing like crazy, homes were getting multiple offers in hours, and prices were driven way above what many properties realistically should have sold for.

Now interest rates have stabilized closer to what has traditionally been considered a normal market. And with that shift, home prices have started leveling back out too.

This is the reality sellers have to understand:

You can’t price your home based on what your neighbor got during the peak frenzy two or three years ago. Buyers today are shopping differently because their monthly payments matter more now.

The good news?
Homes are still selling every day. It’s just taking longer but Buyers are still buying. People still need homes. The market is simply becoming healthier and more balanced again.

Real estate has always been cyclical. The key is understanding the market you’re in — not the market we wish we still had.
