🏡 Another successful closing in the books!

Our second closing of June was a house in Gentilly, and this one came with a story. We actually bought another property from this same seller about 15 years ago in New Orleans East. This house belonged to his parents and had been carrying damage from Hurricane Katrina for many years.

We wanted to share to Facebook / Instagram a few pictures of the downtown building we recently bought.

This place has a ton of historical charm and character. It's going to need a complete renovation, but structurally it's actually in pretty good shape, which is always nice to see.

One challenge is that the current zoning doesn't quite match what we'd like to do with the property, so we'll need to go through the conditional use process with the city. It won't happen overnight, but we're optimistic and hopeful we can get approval to restore this building to its original beauty.

We're excited to see where this project goes and look forward to sharing updates along the way.

Closing #7 of May ✔️

It's been one heck of a busy spring.

We just bought this Metairie duplex in under 3 weeks.

The sellers had started renovating the property but were running into some challenges. The back unit needed a lot of work, the exterior had deferred maintenance, and there were some tenant issues that made things a little more complicated.

At some point, they decided it made more sense to sell the property as-is for cash rather than keep pushing forward.

We were able to work through the situation and get the deal done.

Now it's our turn to finish the renovation and bring this property back to life.
