The Columbia Daily Spectator just wrote a story about the building I live in.

This is a political failing that is rooted in Corruption where Real Estate Developer use U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development section 8 with bogus sh*tty repairs to the tune of $100 million.

The rent for tenants of 640 Riverside Dr. increased to $2,000 per month on Oct. 1. The 400 percent hike comes 25 years after the city promised to convert the tenants’ low-income apartment building into an affordable housing cooperative.
