Happy Valentine’s Day!

Have you ever heard of the 5 love languages by Gary Chapman? If you haven’t and want to understand love fulfillment a little better, then I highly suggest this read. It centers around the concept that we all have our own expressive way to show each other our love for one another and how we want love expressed to us. Understanding how love should be given and received is a life long formula that will improve your relationships and happiness.

This book took me on a journey of reflection, and allowed me to understand myself and how to reciprocate love.

Have you read it? If so, what’s your love language?

It’s a brand new week, a brand new day, and a new opportunity to tackle new goals.

Planning is important and key if you have aspirations to own a home. When you first contact a realtor, the first thing they ask is if you’ve been pre-approved but understanding if you’re pre-approved is a REALTORS first step, NOT YOUR first step.

YOUR first step in this process is making sure you have a grasp of your finances and understanding your financial health. Budgeting is key to starting to understand where your money is going, trimming the excess fat (if necessary), and coming up with a strategy to grow your money. I tell anyone that is willing to listen that what works best for me and my family is to PAY YOURSELF FIRST.

Yes, pay yourself first. Take a look at how much you can afford to pay yourself a month and stash it away into an account you don’t have easy access to. Treat it like an expense to yourself, exercise discipline, and watch your money grow. DM me if you any to walk through any scenarios or need any more tips 🏡😎

What’s your best money savings technique?

This year my daughter started learning how to read. We decided that during black history month we would focus on reading and learning about important, powerful, distinguished and trail blazing black females who have changed this world for the greater good. Today we learned about Phillis Whitley (Poet), Mamie Phipps Clark (Sociologist and Researcher) and Ella Fitzgerald (Jazz Singer).

From tonight’s line up our favorite was Mamie Phipps Clark, who’s ground breaking doll test experiment was used as key evidence in the landmark Supreme Court Case Brown v. Board of Education.

Working on Sunday’s was something that was dreadful to me prior to 2020.

But now? It’s an honor. To me Sundays are a sacred day. A day of worship, a day of rest, a day to set the tone for the upcoming workweek. So, if I work on a Sunday it’s because someone willingly dedicated that time to me, and I don’t take that for granted.

Sitting down and getting to know my client’s story is something that makes my heart warm and full. Real Estate has provided me with an avenue to get to know people that weren’t previously in my orbit and helping them ascend their goals from dreams to tangible achievements.

Working on Sunday’s isn’t really “working on Sunday’s” when you love what you do, immerse yourself in what you do, and honor what you do.

Reach out to me for anything real estate, and let’s hammer out those goals!
