Earlier this month, 5 Fabrik members teamed up to put on the Sensory Social, a night of slowing down and getting in touch with your feelings! ✨

47% of Fabrik community builders collaborate with each other when hosting, so it was no surprise when this group of community builders came together to showcase their individual talents for the Fabrik community and beyond.

Throughout the night, the members offered ear acupuncture, an olive oil tasting, astrology readings, aromatherapy, and guided journaling. “Each modality did something different, but we were all creating the same invitation: to slow down, grasp reality, tune inward, experience something different, and feel held in community” said Ivy Morgan (Ivy).

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Fabrik for our first Chicago Tech Week 2026!

Superhuman AI hosted Flow State: An Evening on AI and Community, leading a Fireside Chat with Jade Walters (Ninth Semester), Himica Kumar (SoFi), and Sorrina Beecher (The White Agency). This Women in Tech panel and precursor to Tech Week focused on building human-centered work in an era of AI.

Fabrik founding members Chrystal Price and Sid Khaitan (MeetMilna) hosted Chicago Connection Lab: Solving for Community with Fabrik’s co-founder Gwen Wiscount, focusing on what it takes to build stronger communities in an increasingly digital world.

Passport to Founders, hosted by Fabrik founding member, Ari Krzyzek (Chykalophia), showcased 50 women-led business, bringing together founders, technologists, and creatives.

TECHicago: Building for Good disscussed community building, building for good, and navigating the messy middle of social impact with panel members Gwen Wiscount (Co-founder, Fabrik), Sophia Huard, Haley Kwait Zollo, and Fabrik founding member - Mahika Hari (Centrapp).

Josephine Collective hosted Founder Lessons: Building, Backing, and Growing, discussing what it takes to build and grow a company with panelists Stephanie Farsht and Erica Bethe Levin.
