A Brooklyn apartment rental showing, then 6.28 miles by bike to a commercial showing in Queens.

38 minutes between two very different spaces. The entrance at the end deserved its own inspection.

NYC real estate comes with a little cardioā€”and occasional ducking.

I came to tour an apartment. Somehow, I ended up planning three different outdoor lifestyles. šŸ˜‚

Sometimes itā€™s hard to contain my excitement touring NYC real estate. This was one of those times.

Greenpointā€™s waterfront isnā€™t done growing. šŸ‘€

The next phase of Greenpoint Landing is bringing roughly 1,000 new apartments across three towers along West Street between Freeman and Eagle Streets.

For anyone who knows Greenpoint, this is a major addition to an already-changing stretch of the Brooklyn waterfront.

More residents. More activity. More neighborhood growth.

And Iā€™ll be watching it every step of the way.

Brooklyn doesnā€™t need to be Manhattan. Thatā€™s the point.

The pace is different. The neighborhoods have their own identities. You can go from new waterfront development to a block that still feels like it did 20 years ago in a matter of minutes.

Williamsburg especially has changed dramatically, but somehow it still feels like a neighborhood.

That mix of old and new, local and global, residential and creative is a huge part of why people continue to want to live here.
