Tucked away along the East River, Sutton Place feels like a hidden piece of old New York.
What began as “Avenue A” in the 1800s eventually became one of Manhattan’s most private and prestigious enclaves, attracting diplomats, business tycoons, and members of the Vanderbilt family. Quiet cul-de-sacs, ivy-covered townhomes, river views, and a level of privacy that’s increasingly rare in Manhattan.
Even today, Sutton Place still feels completely different from the rest of the city.
